Most vans have capacities higher than pickups.

I like the look of both.

Toyota could have done much worse. Check out the catfish mouth on the new Camry or Corolla. Or, the horrendous mess they are making with the Lexus line. Who ever is came up with that stupid "spindle grille" should be relocated back to Japan.

    okay.....your point?

Tacomas were never designed to carry huge payloads.

Well don't be disappointed...90% of truck owners I've talked to make fun of the Honda, foreign and domestic. I thought it would lighten the mood up a little lmao

Yeah because someone who could afford a mustang could most certainly afford a turbo'd Supra. Apples to oranges. It sold like crap because it was expensive, pretty easy logic.

Years ago when my wife wanted a new car she wanted a Mazda. She had her moms hand me down Protege, which was over ten year old, and she wanted to go with the same car. The problem was that I couldn't even sit in the passenger seat at 5'11". My head was hitting the roof on every speed bump!

What's the use in making a decent car if it can't even fit the average male passenger.

Good points....I think for the hard core tacoma folks it wasn't enough but for the average guy it was. Plus the way the marketing guy said that nothing really carried over from the 2d gen. Hell, there's still 1st gen guys who think that was the pinnacle of Tacoma greatness and we all know thats not true. The rift I believe is that people wanted to be "wowed" with 300hp/350 lb/ft of torque...and felt let down when it wasn't.

As far as diesels, its going to be interesting to see how the VW scandal effects other manufacturers. They brought the heat down on the entire segment and if testing methodology becomes more stringent as a result, you're not going to see more diesels developed.

I'm just saying if the dude bought a 4 cylinder 2015 over a new 2016 V6, well he is an idiot in my book. But if he bought a I4 2015 vs a I4 2016 then that makes sense. Either way, the original post was kinda lame and didnt really make any point at all.

Great engine though. Really though the car was a lot of money for what you got, especially from the non turbo version.

When the new one comes out a load of fanboys will be raging out. With the FRS selling for nearly $40K loaded in Canada now I'm sure the Supra won't be less than $50K up here.
