I guess you're not one of "these people" than.

If you know for a fact it's being done for you, good deal, but some don't even bother to look nor ask if it was done and the price they paid was supposed to include this service. That's all I was getting at, this happens to a lot of people. Its the same with topping the fluids, there are those who look and know where to look to see if this was done and there are those who just assume it was taken care of. It's "these" people who get taken advantage of and don't even know it. And based on my experience its these same people who gladly pay $4k for a factory installed spacer lift which costed the dealer almost nothing to buy/install.

it's not the TRD Off Road package. It's a fake off road package which consists of tires, old wheels they took off a 15, and a cheap half lift. There is no ATRAC, MTS, Crawl Control, or rear locker. It's an SR5

I think he knows that. He's saying the math is wrong if you add up everything in the picture, which it is. I might have cut off some dealer added options on top when I took the pic.

Exactly. Come to think of it, it almost looks like they were trying to reach a total of $39k, near the MSRP for a loaded TRD offroad.
If I was corporate Toyota, I'd be pissed. They're essentially trying to sell a counterfeit OR package. Imagine if dealers did this all the time. Customers wouldn't know what they were really getting and no one would trust Toyota.

The dealer does but it's not charged back to Toyota like normal warranty work. Just as an independent shop would do

Very sad. Major rip off. Best way to buy a truck, email dealers outside of your market for a quote, they love to make a skinny deal outside of their market.

    Hey Derek,

I live about 2 miles from Toyota of Dallas. Went by there today and most had the Texas edition option. $3500 for tires and wheels that I did not want. I am looking for a limited or a sport with a manual. I know the Den region has the manuals. How close were you to invoice and how sure were you about the price before the plane trip?

Toyota must do warranty work on aftermarket parts if they did not cause the problem. If you have a full long travel set up and your oil pump goes, it's covered
