If it is ferritic stainless, you might want to try some sockets holders like this Lisle, or a socket tray with recesses rather than the spikes like the Hansens.

That would allow you to control them a bit better as groups, then stick those in a case or bag. Laying stuff like this flat in hard platic instrument case with foam padding that can me custom cut by you might work?

Something like this (router bit storage case)

    or this

Or get a piece of pine shelf stock, cut to fit in the bottom of a sturdy case, drill out a series of holes in increase in sizes with spade of forstner bits, and then use the thick foam layer in the top of the case to compress down and secure them in transit.

Makita makes solid tools. And unless your going to be running it all day the smaller batteries are just fine. And my 20v hammer drill is never used as a hammer drill just for bigger holesaws and bits.

Picked these up to try out in my quest for a quality sawhorse. So far I really like them.

    The ones with sharp edges...

I like the features on this I can set 2x6s in the ends to make a nice sheet goods rip table, and a it has some other holders that make my one man jobs easier on me.
They are also very solid so far.

I have yet to find a set of suspenders that sits comfortably. The one I'm using now keeps ejecting my tape and it's about to end up in the trash.
