    It was really slow. I didnt see anyone catch anything other than a couple bluegills. I was pretty disappointed.

    It was an awesome morning to be in the kayak though. Water was really flat.

    Usually flathead or bullheads don't have a forked tail like that so it may very well be a channel.

    Gonna jump into this thread, moving back out to the Scottsdale area...grew up fishing in the east, never got into it in the west. I havent read back in this thread too far, however I will continue to; in the meantime, are there a lot of spots in central AZ to fish for bass/etc from the shoreline? I don't own anything that floats. Thanks!

    I'd say just about any lake is fishable from shore, you're just limited in ease and mobility. I'd say best time for shore bass is March to May and then Sept/Oct.
