For those of you in the Monmouth County NJ area, I found someone who can do plastidip for you cheap. I was quoted $75 for all of the badges on the truck. He can also wrap chrome handles for $10 each.

I did my badges in less than 2 hours with 1 hand (broken collarbone). Trust me you can do it. It's mega easy.

If it is only 2 hours then I can find that time. It is just that I am never home. work on the road about 125 nights per year. Where to I buy plastidip and how much per can?

Any hardware store (ace, lowes, etc), or advance auto parts or autozone or Amazon. Buy painters tape too. There is a particularly great video on YouTube of someone doing their badges on a tundra. The key I found is to take your time and make sure you have a nice thick layer after many coats.

Also I dipped my front bumper too. I think it looks great!

Plasti dip is only around 7 bucks a can depending where you live. I mean I'm just trying to save you $75 when you can at least try it for cheap

$75 for your badges? Wow. I did my front bumper, grill insert, hood scoop insert, fog light sleeves, and window switch pads (inside on the door) all with 4-5 cans at $7 each. Took less than 2 hours for all that. Drys super quick and is a breeze to do.

I think everyone steered you on the right path. Good luck derp'n!

We did my step sides and badges and third tail light and thinking about doing my stock rims today. It was super easy! Anyone know how long it will last is all I'm wondering?

Took the plasti dip off my bed bar tonight. Thought this was pretty neat, had a spot where the derp was missing and it only rusted there.

Did up the valance off my 4Runner over the past 2 nights. Content with the results except for this spot. It was hidden or something...I don't know. I didn't see it until I sprayed my last coat. I had gotten a couple 'drips' from the nozzle that I got cleaned up, but missed this one. Probably just going to leave it, but if I were to try and fix, how would I go about it? I've read wet sanding with windex and 800 - 1000 grit sand paper. Can someone here confirm that works?

I can't confirm that..but I can say naphtha thinner on damp a microfiber will dissolve it.
Just be super easy and don't wet more than just the spot ur fixing. .

I use dip coat on everything I plastidip.
    Plastidip leaves a rubbery feel.
Dip coat makes it almost as smooth as paint.
Then when u have to use naptha to fix a peel or a run it makes it easier.

I actually like the rubbery feel and look. No gloss to it at all. Does that Dip Coat create a gloss finish?

    Not really just durability.
It's not spraypaint. It's like windex but leaves surface tougher &smoother

Has anyone used the copper or gold metallizer? Really want o change my wheels to bronze and figured this would be a simple way to go about.
