I am new to this site so sorry for any flaws i have made.
My question is i am goin to go from stock to 35's with 6" lift and 5:29 gears. Is there anyone whom already has this done or can anyone tell me how much my Mpg will change vs better or less? Also power wise as well. Will be mostly highway amd some wheeling. Thanks in advance!

I'm guessing your truck is a 4 cyl and that's the reason you're going with 5.29's?

I don't think there are 5.29s for our diffs yet but if there is someone correct me.

Running 35s myself, went from 4.56s to 4.88s

No 5.29s for the clamshell, so unless you swap the drivetrain out the lowest diff ratio you can get on a 2nd gen is 4.88

I'd say so. First off, Toyota doesn't make aftermarket gears so how would they know they are available. Your best bet is to call someone like ECGS, just differentials, yota masters, marlin crawler etc. Nowhere on any of their sites is 5.29s available and I usually check their sites regularly for new stuff that comes out.

No swap needed? As in, he can get one from the factory, he thinks? I'd like to ask him for a quote and see what story he comes up with. That'll be funny.

Yeah if by Yota supplier you mean dealer, they can't get you gears... Unless some deal was made that I don't know about between companies. There are lots of offroad vendors that specialize in Toyota and they can help you. ECGS is what comes to my mind, but I am sure there are more. And if the dealership can offer warrantied rear end swaps, at a reasonable cost, maybe do it. But typically that is the job of a rear end shop.
