A few additions to make me feel cool.
You do know that with every option this car can be bought brand new from the dealer for just over 36K sticker right? This means that it being a Dodge new it should be around 32K.

For $40k, one could purchase a late model BMW M5 (500hp with all bells and whistles). Something seems odd.. but goodluck with the sale.

Good points. I don't know much about the ride other than that's what they owe on it. I'll have to see why they're selling it for that much. Would it matter that this is a V8? Or all of these models v8s?

Yes and no. They bought it on a whim, but they don't drive any of their cars that much. Their FJ was bought in 06 and I think that only has 20k on it, and my dad's 04 F-150 only has about 30k on it. They're weird like that. I've never even seen them in the Challenger before.

    th base thats $20k comes w/ th v6...the $30k R/T and the $40k SRT8 both come w/ v8's, but different sizes....IIRC, the R/t is a 5.7 and the SRT is the 6.1

Wow. . . You can't expect to sell that CHARGER for 40K. You parents bought it in OCT 08 as your post states on C/L.

That means you parents paid that XTRA Cool People $$$ to have it ASAP. Meaning the price they paid then ain't the price its sold @ now. Its been over a year now and only @ 400
    miles?

WTF? Please tell me thats a typo and you meant 09.

As far as I know that's right. Like I've said, I've never seen them drive it. It just sits in their garage. I'll let them know that they prob. won't get that $40k.

I personally think your parents are BALLIN! Buying a 40K sports car with that much power and paying the insurance each month..Just to neglect it.

That's like have a Very Hot GF in your Room that you never touch for over a year and shes willing......and you're feeding her and paying her rent, WHY?

Lol dude I tell them that everytime I go up to visit them. It's stupid actually. I think they realize it now and that's why they want to get rid of it. Maybe putting a cover on it and letting it sit another 40 years isn't a bad idea. Just non-op it. lol
