I ordered a custom bumper at the end of August and I'm getting it powder coated/installed on Friday. Not to mention the 3 week ship time

Ok, looking for some input.. Bought my fist Tacoma 2weeks ago and the previous owner already had a Toytec and I think it's at 2.5" with an add-a-leaf 5100s all around. It has 305/70r16 on there and they rub the frame at full turn.

Should I go with a half inch wheel spacer? What do y'all recommend?

I would like to be able to do some moderate off-roading. Without issues.

First off nice truck and welcome to the Tacoma World!!!
Spacers will push the tires further from the frame but can cause other issues. What backspace does your current rims have?

If it were my rig, I'd sell those gaudy, over-size rims and tires, and replace them with a more appropriate size,
    maybe 31/10.50R16

Rims are a bit flashy but 31/10.5s are lame.

Mine have been a year and a half, but I don't have problems yet. I do want 285's instead of 265s so

I would, and did on the truck I just got, put tires on it that did not interfere with anything. In this case it was 265/75 instead of 285/75. They aren't that much smaller. I took off the spacers also. Now I have no more vibrations and it doesn't really detract from anything. I sold the used tires and the spacers and recouped half the price of my new tires. Just sayin' some mods are for the better and some aren't. Spacers and huge tires magnify any defects or imbalances and don't really add anything but cosmetics. If that what's important to you, that's fine but it isn't to me :notsure:
