i found this pic...is it a long bed?

im thinking of carrying 2 bikes on my 2009 short bed


heres my friends bike and my bike on my uncles taco




my friends tacos and bikes...is it safe on the silver taco with the tires on the tailgate?

 

The first pic (Silver Taco) is a long bed. As far as the rear wheel on the tailgate goes, as long as the bike is securely strapped in, I don't seen any harm. I've seen anything from motorcycles to snowmachines on the tailgate. I personally would rather just get a small trailer, but that's because I don't want to let my bmw fall over while manhandling it into the bed.

Interesting pictures! I thought that normally the restraint was supposed to fall behind the rear wheel, but I guess that proves you can use it either way. My friend uses one of those in his trailer and like it a lot.

 

The reg cab, Access cab and DC LB are the same size beds(6ft). It's the DC SB that have the shorter beds.(5ft)
