Yeah I went down on the 57 on my Harley a couple years ago and woke up in the hospital on the critical level. I still love riding but it's not my daily anymore

Danny and Jared glad you guys are alive!I have 2 Harleys and have never been in a accident but have come close.Started riding dirt bikes when i was 5yrs old.42 yrs old now and after my long time friend was hit on Labor Day this yr and killed i've lost some interest to ride although i will ride again but it won't be anytime soon! It's definetly more dangerous to ride in SoCal streets or frwys more than in yrs pasts.

Yeah I always wish the best for any one that wants to ride just wish that it wasn't so dangerous. You can be the best rider being 100% safe but not everyone around you is paying attention or looking out for those of us without cages

I think we all have experienced this in one way or another. I too am lucky and only rode street for a short time ( my mom had Harley's) but was out desert riding and driving for decades. ( I'm old like Ron). I am on the road 50+ hrs a week and see STUPID ASS people doing stupid ass shit on the roads with there phones in there hands. Seems like everyone is distracted. Everyone be safe out there.

In other news I test drove a 2016 TRD OR 4x2 today. They didn't have a 4x4 because they are sold as soon as they're off loaded the car carrier according to the sales guy.

My thoughts: No driveline vibrations at all

With ECT Pwr on the truck pulls harder and longer. Great for towing or climbing up the mountain roads (Grapevine or Cajon pass)

The seat cushions are a lot softer compared to my 13'

The ride feels firmer but not clumsy like my 13' almost like driving a sport sedan firm in a good way

I did notice the slight hesitating on take off that a lot of 3rd gen mentions. Makes me wonder if it's just the computer getting use to the driver and learning. My 13' did it when I first got it but now it's non existent.

The interior feels and looks waaaaay better then my 13'

The mid range power for the 3.5L is a lot stronger and pulls better then my 13' It pulls strong all the way to redline. Where on my 13' it feels like it's out of breath.

The grille is still big looking, especially with the chrome that's on the TRD OR.

This dealer: AutoNation Toyota of Cerritos didn't have any dealer markup  $33.4k for TRD OR 4x2 plus Nav.

They had just one TRD OR and two other SR5 on the lot, all white. I was looking for the blazing blue but none was available. The sales guy says the Tacomas are selling like hotcakes so no discounts of anything which sounds about right for a popular vehicle.

My impression? I'd get a 17' or 18' when the bugs are iron out
