To run a 10k mile oil change interval, you need to have a filter that can go that distance.

Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
im about to hit 200,000 on my 05 and i use mobile1 full synthetic 5w20 (just went to high mileage but im sure thats mostly snake oil but it was like $2 less than standard per 5qt jug) i go 6000 and change the filter top it off and go another 6000 and do a full change because im sure the oil these days long outlast the filters. I do my wifes rav4 the same way (~150,000 miles) and i wind up buying 3 jugs a year at ~$26 and 4 filters a year (i use wix ~$6 a piece) so i have about $100 in a year worth of oil changes for 2 vehicles

Nah. High mileage oils load up on zinc...they aren't snake oil. It's all about the additives in this case.

Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
I'm excited to see how the reliability of the '16 is so I'll be following your story on that one too. Maybe by 2022 I'll be ready for a new DD and be looking at the mid-gen refresh :)

Aside from the frame do you attribute most of those repairs to plowing with it?

Nope, wheel bearings are shit. 1st went at 95k under warranty, second cost me $700 at Toyota. Third went after first year of plowing. I only had one account & it didn't snow much that year. Plow only weighed 250#. 4 years later, 85k miles it needs another wheel bearing. I will attribute annual brake jobs to plowing tho!!!

Cool. I had 330,000 on my 02 Tacoma that I traded in last year on my 2014
I bought it new in 02 and did use it for work , but didn't abuse it.
At 290,000 I changed alternator and fuel pump. That's it. Everything else was original parts and never had engine or trans apart. Not even clutch. And would have headed out across country without a worry
So it wasn't hard to decide what to trade it in on. Another Tacoma.

Post up all the stuff that is still original on the 400k celebration. He went on for about 10 min on the CB, it was amazing and I can't remember it all.
