I don't think this is correct. My understanding is Baja only builds double cabs. Texas builds double and access cabs.

So you are saying a line worker in Mexico makes $8 an hours while a line worker in Texas makes (8x4) $32 to (8x7) $56 an hour.... Not true!! Most my line workers here at DENSO (same for Toyota TX) make between $12 and $24 IF they are full time.

$32 to $56 an hour. Ha! There's a reason Toyota builds them in Texas

Tacomas are built in a non Union plant in Texas. Same with Subaru's in Georgia. Both are arguably some of the finest vehicles you can buy with the best resale value. This is why these plants were built in right to work states. Also one of the reasons Toyota moved from California to Dallas TX.

Temps might make that little but after 2 years they are hired on full time.
Topped out team members make just under $30.00 an hour, plus benefits
$8.00 and hour in mexico might be equal to that, compared to what others in Tijuana make.

That might be true if you're talking about over paid Union pay rates of $58 per hour which is the average that GM pays. Apples to oranges.

What does a mexican, non toyota employee make an hour?? Im sure its a lot less than $8 an hour.
This plant is located in Tijuana where the cost of living is practically NOTHING. Have you ever been there? Its sad.

The tools made to build the truck are the same at each plant. This is not a hand- built Rolls Royce. Most of the work done is simply moving said tool into position and following the instructions set forth by the manufacturer. There should be no reason there is any difference in quality. In fact I would almost argue that those workers in Mexico feel so fortunate to have that kind of job in that country that they take even more pride in their work and a job well done.

$8 an hour is the average wage in Mexico according to Toyota from an article published April of this year.

My Mexican truck is running just fine. Can't say the same for my Canadian made tires though. No, I'm not knocking Canada, just Goodyear.

There is probably a bigger difference in the trucks built on Monday morning vs Friday afternoon rather than Mexican vs US Tacomas....
