That's that new hidden feature for the 2016 Tacoma. Built in governor drive @ 61 drops back down to 40mph

But in all seriousness, that sucks bro.... Hope it's a minor issue and you can get your truck back asap. I haven't been reading this as an issue yet so I think may be isolated to just yours. Who knows, they may just give you a brand new one!

Who knows, I may end up with a PRO.. or a Trail Premium. Have no idea why they don't have the KDSS as an option for the PRO. From what I read, it is pretty solid on road with the things ker sway bar. Who knows, I may end up with a PRO with KDSS..

 

haha yea i was thinking that but after my coworkers saw the loaner truck with the servco stickers on it they believe me now. really hoping they give me a new one. its always gonna be in the back of my mind that i had problems with the truck from now on.

service is closed on sundays so they will continue to work on it today and they should give me an update on the status. i will post back when i find out.

yea ive never had a problem with my 14 tacoma but cant really compare since i only had it for about 10 months before i sold it. my family drives a lot of toyotas and nobody has really any issues that are serious.

 

just recieved a call from ron at servco waipahu and he related that they have the lead technician looking into the problem. said that vehicle was misfiring and they think its the computer but is unsure at this time. gave him my view of the situation and said to come into servco so i will be going down this afternoon. ill post again after the meeting.

update:
spoke with the sales manager and they said im gonna get a new tacoma. super happywith the outcome. they were not done with the testing so im not sure what the problem was exactly. only changes is the interior and exterior colors which is gonna be white ext and grey int. also got deals on the TRD pro wheels and open country A/T tires.

Ya I'm curious too. Then again, maybe I want my new truck to screw up so I can get another new truck with upgraded tires

got um for $730. came out cheaper than the ebay prices and still had to be shipped so i took the deal.

yup i think so too. plus they said they going transfer the TPMS and mount/balance the tires for me no extra charge.

 

I belive that may be @ cost... how much the tires gonna run you?

 

tires came out to $184 a tire so around $736. the parts guy told me to ask for him when the truck come in and he would swap out the TPMS and mount/balance the tires for me. i guess ill see if i have to pay more when the time comes.

 

Which rims you getting? TRD pro rims?

 

yea the TRD PRO from the T4R. i liked them better than the beadlocks which looked good the the 16 too.
