    Yeah, Peyton's been in the game (and had full control of his offense) for too long for Kubiak to try to change things around too drastically all at once. Given that the offense is more comfortable with Manning taking the lead, letting him read the defense and call the plays isn't a bad idea. Let him decide if you're running it or throwing it, based on what he sees. I don't like Peyton much, but I've got to admit that he's great at reading a defense and poking holes in it. Kubiak needs to let the man work.

    Something to keep in mind:

    If the season ended today, the playoff field would be:

    Patriots, Colts, Bengals and Broncos all taking their divisions (although one of these is not like the others)
    The J E S T and Steelers would be the wild cards

    Over in the NFC, you'd have the Packers, Giants, Panthers, and Cards as division winners
    The FAILcons and Vikings would get the wild cards

    It ain't the Niners part in this that would worry me.

    The Iggles made everyone go all "WTF" when Chip went full-retard and traded for Bradford. For him to trade again for shitty idiot like Keaperpick all of 7 games into Sam's season would make even Jeff Laurie lose his shit.

    Yea, next season? Kap is gone.

    For all the PR BS, if the Niners cut him before...April 10th or whatever the date is...they owe him NOTHING cash-wise and will have a 1-time cap hit of 9M. They are paying him 13M for this year regardless. All the years going forward are option years that the Niners can get out from under at any time.

    That's what they got in exchange for the up-front guaranteed money and signing bonus.

    I'm guessing that the Niners go into full Scorched Earth Rebuild after this season. New coach, full staff overhaul, mostly new roster, the works

    Not even close. In Chip's offense, you need to be accurate and make good decisions quickly.

    Bradford signed only one year with Eagles, I don't know what Chip will do next year, there are no good prospects out there and half the teams in the NFL do not have viable QBs as it is.

    I took the Pats in my Pick 'Em league tonight. Especially in New England.

    But I'm rooting for the LOLPhins. I would happily, VERY HAPPILY, lose that point from my total to see the interim coached division basement dweller pull off a stomping. I would pay *cash money* to make that happen, if I could.

    There are things that I would not do if it would make that happen. But the list is pretty damned short. Beat your grandmother about the head with a stick? Instantly. Microwave fish in the work break room? SHIT YEA. Hell, I'd even burn popcorn in there to make this happen.
