When I'm driving a grocery getter/commuter car, I don't really care much about the transmission. Unless of course I am racing it at my company's race track...lol.

Ok when you put it that way yes I can definitely agree.

I know my uncle has one and my girlfriends mom has one and they both love it...but then again like you said they do not care for anything besides something that gets them from point a to b and they also own early 2000s. But yes agree on technology. I'm glad toyota finally upgraded the interior of the taco, otherwise wouldn't even look at one. Toyota does greatly lack on luxury and technology when it comes to their cars. But hey they have great safety ratings and reliablilty, so very good for insurance and cost of ownership.

my sister was looking at buying a corolla and went with a civic for the same reason, interior is so bla in them. But oh well. If I was in the market for another car I'd be buying a Audi S4

Someone said in a previous post that the Twins nearly caught up in sales with the Tacoma and now your quoting it??? Dude you don't know shit! You know how I know you take that joke of a publication JD Powers seriously, they are the biggest joke on the planet. Its the same people that gave Chrysler/Dodge/Ram tops in initial quality. Quit believing everything you read here, people here name their dildos after Canyon/Colorado. You can tell who they are here

The Camry is the Budweiser of the car world. It is a good bit of something to everybody but in that effort it waters the driving experience down to a horse piss flavor.

Sales number provided at links below, updated monthly. Check on Monday for new figures for October.

    Tacoma: http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2011/01/toyota-tacoma-sales-figures.html

    GMC Canyon: http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2011/01/gmc-canyon-sales-figures.html
    Chevy Colorado: http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2011/01/chevrolet-colorado-sales-figures.html

Add the two GM twins together to get total sales figures - please do not play the game like Ford does when they say the F150 outsells all other makes when in reality they don't (if you add up the essentially identical GM and Chevy lines).

Track the sales #'s for the coming months. These are hard numbers reported by dealerships/manufacturers, not filtered or altered.

Oh, and Gincoma. What have you named your dildo after?

Waitwut? We're now adding two different brands of truck sales to one Tacoma in order to prove sales are catching up?! Creative math right there for ya..
    Sept:
    Tacoma 11,608

You really think the GM twins are two different brands? All they do is add a different tag and a couple different options between them  Everything is essentially the same (part # wise), just like the 2nd gen and 3rd gen Tacoma.

Whoa, calm down, your lack of intelligence is showing through. You're giving your Tacoma with the " Factory Monster Truck Package with reverse gear" a bad name. I was going to post sales numbers for you but Tunngavick and his beautiful lady beat me to it. Of course you add the 2 together, why do you think they're called the "twins". October numbers available soon, hope they don't upset you. Sorry you don't like JD Power, many Camry owners rely on them to tell them what to buy.

    I did the same.

First post here as I wait for my new truck to arrive. My girlfriend and I drove an SR5 and a loaded Canyon back to back. We went into this decision neither preferring nor having any experience with either truck. I'm downsizing from a '96 Powerstroke F250.

I thought the Canyon had a more comfortable seating position and a smoother ride, but that was it. It drove like a dog. Transmission was super lethargic.

My girlfriend likes the luxury brands and she thought the loaded Canyon felt cheaper than the SR5. She also preferred the way the Taco drove.

It was no contest. I ordered TRD OR on the spot.

I don't understand why people still love GM. Remember when all the taxpayers had to bail them out? Let's be honest GM is a shitty company that makes shitty cars. Im not saying toyota is an amazing company, but at least they have never cost the taxpayers 11 billion dollars.

cs cares about reliability, economy, and safety. That's why the camry is their top sedan. It may not be luxurious or fun to drive, but cs doesn't care about those things. My mom was in a camry when she fainted. She was going 80mph and slammed into a cop car on the side of the road. She survived with no major injuries. Camry's aren't good cars in my opinion, but they check the boxes that cs cares about. Keep that in my when reading their reviews.

Well Drawn, perhaps folks are looking for best product and realize GM paid back nearly all the loan when you factor in the DOJ fine. So don't buy into that "Government Motors" crap.
Even Toyota makes mistakes. Did you realize they paid the largest DOJ fine of all time for safety misdeeds?

Vehicles are complicated, all of them have their problems.

So if that was holding you back, feel free to be objective.
