    Crap. That was the problem at the Brickyard. We don't need that at the 1.5 mile tracks.

    Here's a recent interview with Rick Mears. He's talking about Indycar but every point he makes is applicable to NASCAR, especially in regards to reducing downforce and making the guys drive the turns:

    Makes sense. Makes their jobs easier. Low downforce separates the men from the boys. Sure,they can all rip a straight line but somebody has to lift at the turn or sling it in there and pray it sticks. If it doesn't, they should be skilled enough to catch it and keep it out of the wall. Sure, corner speeds will be lower, but it'll make for better races.
