    265/70/17 should work out for you. Lots of choices in that size also.

    you and me both! :) Just not sure I want to lift it this time, it's strictly a street truck and the
    small lifts I normally have done are just for some more tire clearance but they just never ride
    the same/as nice to me after lifting it.

    you get what you pay for. if you just doing lifts with shitty pucks, you'll end up with a shitty ride. if you invest in something nice, you'll get a nicer ride. just how it goes with everything.

    So you just have 5100's in the front and nothing in the rear?

    i thought stock height has the front 1 inch lower then the rear. you set the 5100's at 1.75?

    My truck is in the shop right now getting these adjustable shocks put on and 285 75/R16s. The installer just called me complaining that the shocks didn't come with any instructions and he thinks he will have to take "the whole front end apart" to install the shocks. Not sure what he meant by "whole front end" but he rattled off a bunch of components he said he'd have to take apart to get them in. He said it will be much more difficult than he expected. I thought these things would be easy to install for an experience mechanic. Is this guy trying to rip me off? Any else have experience with the difficulty level of these shocks?

    If an experienced mechanic needs included instructions to install these shocks, I'd be down there pronto picking up my truck and doing business elsewhere. My mechanic took less than 2 hours to do both sides and he said it was a very basic and easy install.

    Watch part 1 and 2 ,,, not that difficult ,, I'm doin my own next thurs ,,, expecting to have it done in 3 hrs ( knock on wood lol ) and that includes doing a uca upgrade ,,,likely just jinxed myself :annoyed:

    Not rocket science at all, just pay attention when disassembling the factory struts and put it back together the same way.

    I can list the order of the parts if needed

    All is well now. I think he just got overwhelmed at first because its something he's not used to. Took him about 2.5hrs and charged me $180 for labor. Since I don't have the tools or the know how, I'm fine paying that. Tires are going on now. Will post pics once their finished.

    Would like to see if anyone has done the .85 setting on their 5100`s. It would be really cool if someone also had 265/75/16 mounted. This is going to be my setup, I will post pic`s when it`s done, but it would be great to see it first. I have this exact setup on my 4Runner minus the tire size and it raised the front about 1" and still left some front rake. I tow a 2000lbs camper so I want to keep it reasonable on the lift.
