You gotta try a point spread pool. It can be very frustrating.

Thanks, but I'm not interested. Point spreads only do one thing: Make money for bookies/casinos.

What matters is what happens on the field. Win or lose. That's it.

    For me, anyhow

My pool is done privately, and all the money (as far as I know) goes out in winnings. The guy who runs the pool has a website and everything.

The one I run is private as well. I do the same. Payout goes to the top 3 finishers...100% of it. You get 1 point for every correct W you pick.

Mine requires putting points on ten games each week, 1-10 pts with 10 being the game you feel you have the best chance to win. The top three finishers each week win money, and the top 15 at the end of the year win money. The top 5 win big money.

    Ahh, progressive pick pool.

Tried it once, didn't care for it.

I found that the straight pick style was easier to run at work....wins and losses are easy even for non-hardcore football fans to get in with, so I usually had no problem getting a bunch of folks to play.

Pats up by 4 TD's with less than 4 minutes left in the 4th?

Guess I'll call it a night.

I almost wish that we'd lose one just so that the pressure would be off. Every game we win to stay undefeated is more pressure and more comparisons to that 2007 team.

    Almost. :D

Funny thing is, from the late 80s through till recently, it was the Cowboys that drew my ire.

Now I just detest Jerruh Jones and have transferred my loathing to the cheating Massholes. They make it so easy.

Everybody hates a winner when they keep smoking your team. In the 80's & 90's it was the Cowboys. Now it's the Pats.

I look at it as it's the same as how everybody hates the Yankees. :notsure:

    When they keep smoking...?

    Heh.

Packers are right around .500 with the Pats. It isn't a question of domination, it's fuck those cheatin' Patriots. And Darth Hoodie, fuck him too. Because reasons.

Completely illogical on my part, I know. Belicheat is basically second only to Lombardi himself in coaching history and will be a walk-in first ballot HoFer. And fuck him anyways.

Sorry, I wouldn't have expected a Packers fan from OK city.

    Edit:
However, in regards to the NFL in general, the statement stands. The majority of the teams in the NFL have a losing record to the Pats in the last 15 years, which leads to a lot of strong dislike.
It's a big part of why rule infractions by the Pats get far more media coverage than infractions by the rest of the league.

But I understand where you're coming from. As a lifelong football & Pats fan, I spent a LOT of the 90's absolutely despising the Cowboys.

I'm not from OKC, I just moved here about a year ago. I'm a native cheesehead :)
