Is it just me? Is it just my imagination? (Great song BTW) Or are Toyota wiper blades not the best blades on the market? They're pricey, but dang! They clean a windsield! Best part is, they seem to outlast any aftermarket blades I've ever used.

So what kind do you use? Have you tried the Toyota blades?

I dont know about the one's they sell, but I asked the dealer parts guy which wipers they put on cars they are selling because I thought they did a good job. He said they use Kleenview, then showed me the box. About the cheapest ones they can get their hands on.

I get mine on Rock Auto, its ridiculous how cheap their blades are.

I actually did the same thing in the past. Nothing works like NEW wipers. I'd just buy cheap ones by the dozen and change 'em often. When I bought the Tacoma last November, it had a brand new set of OEM blaes on it. The dealer had just installed them. They held up until just a few days ago when I replaced them with the same thing. I've NEVER got that much service from a set of wipers.

I do like the oem wipers. I bought some aftermarket ones and they got pulled off in a couple of weeks and went back to the oem.

I put a set on my 2008 when I bought it in 2010. I transferred them over to my new 2012. I have replaced the cartridges once.

I now have to send back one body under warranty and replace the blades.

They are pricey, but not bad performance for a harsh Canadian climate.

I agree! The oem wiper blades seem to work the best and they are usually cheaper than the refills for the aftermarket brands. I recently paid under $7.00 for the oem refills and still cheaper than most aftermarket refills. They really need to be replaced twice a year here in AZ just from dry rotting from the intense sun and heat. Nothing like a new set a wiper blades!!!!

After years of bad blades, got some Bosch at a closeout price and they were a revelation... Best blades ever

In the next 2 weeks or so I'm putting these on. Apparently these will not crack or fade. Just wiping quality will go down.

The ones that came with my truck lasted about 3 years of hot Southern California weather. When I moved back up to Northern California, I decided to purchase a new set because the original ones were so great. I only purchased the inserts, rather than the entire wiper. However, this time around, I was not as satisfied. The wiper seems to not clean as well, as evident by the streaks it leaves on my windshield.

Also, did anyone else get charged almost double for the longer side's wiper blade insert??

Set that came with the truck lasted more than two years; replaced a month ago. I've used aftermarket on other vehicles in the past, none as good as these.

I just replace the rubber strip with oems. Work well enough for me and they are cheaper than aftermarket blades.

Cleaning the blade with an alcohol pad or brake clean on a rag works wonders aswell.

My OEM blades lasted for four years which was surprising. And they still weren't completely shot. Just starting to streak on the passenger side. Here is a pro tip...stash your takeoffs behind the seat. When you are 50 miles from town on the backside of a mountain in the dark and a blinding snowstorm when a blade tears you will be damn glad to have it.

Yota do't make blades. Come on, you think they don't outsource them? YGBFKM. :annoyed: What brand do they use?

Does it matter? Replace once a year, all good.

These threads kills me, I'm dead 500 times.

I just spent more time reading this thread than I ever did thinking about getting the "best" wiper blades. I buy cheap blades and change them as needed. What else is there to say?

Bosch Icon blades work great on my Tacoma. I just put them on replacing oem blades but if they can last a year in the Arizona heat then I will be amazed!

Then don't reply/quit reading them. What's "worse" is whiney ass complainers who don't have anything to contribute, only show up to bash anything anyone else has to say. When the name of this website becomes KryleNowitallwadWorld, I'll have even a shread of value for what you have to say. Until then, not so much.
