Cool. I live on the other side of Amherst, in Pelham! I may take you up on the offer of the spray gun. I may buy a gallon too just to have it in stock.

I found that it was actually cheaper from kell sport with the Tacoma world discount than Amazon. Just use the word Tacoma in the promotions field and it will knock 10% off

Let me know when you'd want to use it, I work Tuesday through Friday in Whately, but live in Worcester. Also, this job is seasonal and is going to be finished in two weeks, so we should make it happen soon!

Damn it, I probably won't be home from ND until the 15th of November. Ah well, I can always get the spray can one. What do you do in Whately?

I work on an organic vegetable farm, we've got greens!

Is it okay to spray fluid film on the coilovers? I've read people saying they spray everything except for the exhaust and brakes, but I just want to make sure. I don't see why it would be a problem but figured I'd ask you all :)

TRD sport double cab Barcelona red with premium package. Hopefully here by middle of November. Trading in my 2013 SR5. Can't wait...... It's my Christmas present, and birthday, and anniversary, and fathers day, and half birthday present. I love my 2013 but I just went from a 16 mile round-trip commute to work to a 40 mile round-trip commute I decided to trade in while my value was good. 25 k trade in. Planning on keeping the next one for 10+ years.

Nice. I have a 2015 Barcelona Red DCSB Sport. Love it. Bought it in September. Prefer the body style to the 16 so I didn't wait. Best of luck with the truck man. How long is the wait?

Should be good James. It is a Lanolin/wax based lube. It is pretty safe on almost anything (exhaust = stink. brakes = no stoppy)
    :D

    From the FF site:
"Eureka Chemical Company has conducted extensive testing on its products since its inception in the early 1940's, when Dr. Herman Hess, Eureka's founder and chemist created the revolutionary formulation of FLUID FILM. FLUID FILM's unique wool-wax formula has been used in various forms beginning with the U.S. Navy on Ships during World War II to protect against corrosion of steel from salt air and salt water. In 1953, military specifications MIL-R-21006 and MIL-C-23050 were issued by the military for FLUID FILM Liquid A and Gel BW respectively. Today, FLUID FILM has probed the depths of the sea and space, being effectively utilized by nuclear submarines to its exclusive use on the space shuttle. FLUID FILM's WRO product is specified under MIL-PRF-18458C, and its aerosol exceeds MIL-C-16173. The company has stuck to its decision to remain solvent free, manufacturing the highest grade of rust/corrosion preventives and lubricants on the market today."

Dealer told me mid November. I posted the VIN on the 3rd generation thread and Chris gave me a production date of 10/29. I can't wait.

x2, I'm thinking of going this same route. Also for areas that are already a bit of surface rust did anyone prepare these areas first or just spray right over it as is?

You can wire brush it/ clean it up if you want, but i would just spray it. I think the ff site says if you spray it on existing rust, it stops it in its tracks.

I have bought one at the start of the nice weather season and then applied it (after a wire wheel here and there) whenever I was under the truck. I was trying to make that happen every spring and fall and two cans seemed to have fit the bill.

Yeah, like wire wheel action, as much as you can get to and then spray it down.
