Ok makes sense then how do you determine and place an individual order for a truck and determine what is allowed in a certain region. I'm not trying to find a truck in inventory I am trying to order one. Man this process is so much harder than ordering a BMW.

That is a Dealer only website that I use to order stock inventory. When I get special request to build, that is what I use to get the customer what they want and there is no other option out there. I understand though that you may have different information. No worries.

No worries. I was responding to the user asking why a tonneau was required with a given package or model. Thanks for all your info, and yes, GST is apparently a very different beast than the Toyota mothership, but I guess those of us living here are stuck with it.

Your problem is the dealer you chose...they might have a ginormous, shiny new building, but their staff is less than stellar (service and sales). I bought my 2011 new via their internet sales department, good experience. I popped in the to look at '16s and left less than impressed, place sucks now...There are two other dealers within 10 miles of there that you will have better luck at.

refer to my post earlier... they are managing the production line - simple... look at the available build sheet, that will be what you can get... for now.

Dealership workers don't know their ass from a hole in the ground for the majority. They're business representatives that are there to make money on simple sells. The only individuals there who "sort-of" know what the vehicles are capable of are the sales representatives. Better off doing the research yourself anyway. I once went into the parts department asking for an oil filter wrench. Guy comes back out with an oil filter.

Haha that's why I put the majority. There are some people that actually care about the brand, but everytime I go to my local dealership they seem confused at my questions. If I endure the 30 minute drive north, I am able to ask any question and they can knowingly answer it. Guess owners have a big part in the hiring process.

Well...shit. I'm still gonna shoot for a 7545 with JBL when the time comes. I'm willing to wait but at this point I don't think Toyota has made a single 7545 or 7543 with JBL :/

The product info PDF from the release event says that the premium audio package with JBL is A/T only. So don't hold your breath for ever finding that config.

Yeah I know but the build sheets given to dealerships have it as a viable configuration. I've also had two dealerships claim they can get me one. I'm gonna try but definitely not holding my breath.

I'm the poster from another thread that attached the dealer build sheet showing the 7545 would be possible to order with the FP package (Premium & Technology Package w/JBL Audio). I heard back from my dealer this week...unfortunately, he told me someone from the dealership had spoken with a Toyota rep, and it was a misprint...that the FP is not available with the 6MT, and the HH package (Premium & Technology Package, no JBL) was the best I was going to get. Maybe it's regional (I'm in the NorthEast), maybe it's something that will change eventually, but it's disappointing...
