Any of you Ohio folks know of a good shop for a lift install in southeast Ohio?

I'm near Athens, but can get to Logan, Lancaster, Parkersburg (WV) easy enough.

So, a question for our experienced off roaders..

I've been seeing some talk about the rear diff breather mod. I understand wanting to avoid getting water sucked into the diff, but aren't hey sealed anyway?

Agreed. I was looking for some trails to take the family on and that trailsoffroad had a few I hadn't heard of, but there are no addresses. So now it's trying to cross-reference the sites for info. Oh well.

Ah, got it. It makes sense to let it breath, but knowing what the Tacoma is designed and advertised for, why wouldn't they just make that a stock mod?? Well, time to head to the hardware store..

They aren't sealed. They have a little nipple on it that opens under pressure so if it opens under water you'll pull some in. I've been there so I ran a new breather. Now stop distracting my workout!

Front already had two. A diff and tcase breather. You can go spend $20 at the store for the rear and spend the rest at the bar

Why not choose the gas tank filler location?

Thought about doing it myself, but I don't really have the facilities. Sometimes it's just easier to pay someone than the bust my own knuckles.

Cheapest price around Columbus I could find was $600 just for labor as I was supplying parts. Ended up doing it myself with some help from a few guys on here

I think the stone quarry, vinton furnace, and tar hollow are all the same place, or close.

Doesn't look terribly exciting and sounds like it is closed now.

I am willing to accept there is not a lot of wheeling spots in Ohio (public anyway) but it would be good to get them documented?

Hadn't seen that location as an option. The cubby in the bed seemed an easy option, but I didn't want the breather to get clogged or damaged by the junk I keep in there. I'll look at the fuel filter position, too.

I would love to help wrench. Assuming the timing works out. It would be nice since I am planning on doing a lift on mine in the spring.

Definitely. I had thought about buying some property SE of Columbus where it's a little more rugged/hilly and maybe opening a liability-free off road area.
