Domello makes bolt on sliders also. I waited for a groupbuy and got it for $320 I think. but That's cause I didn't have to pay for shipping. Theres 1 hole to drill. I didn't drill the hole and talked to them about and they said its fine if I don't drill. tested the sliders buy jacking up the truck and it was fine. no movement.

What about skid plates? Does you truck have a locker? that could be a possibility. My next mod will be a rear locker since I am open diff. most likely just a powertrax no slip.

Some round auxiliary lights on the back rack. Or lightbar at front. Functional and adds looks to the truck. (imo round lights look better)

Bed lights would come in handy.

Bolt ons are not a pain, in fact I think they are much less so. They are Pretty easy to install requiring a few holes drilled. Easily done by yourself. At the end of the day if you don't have a welder the cost differential between the 2 will likely be negligible. They are just as strong as weld on sliders, and you can remove them if you sell the truck.

Thanks :) Yeah, hands down worst interior lighting of any vehicle I've had. My volvo doesn't even have an interior light, and it's still better. I'd love to get some HIDs, the stock headlights are alright but not fantastic.

Skid plate is definitely on my list of things I'd like to do, only have the stock one right now and that doesn't do a whole lot. I don't have a locker either, but I have a feeling that if I ever took apart the rear end it would leak afterwards from how much rust it has. Trying to source a rust free one right now. But not having much luck. It's fine as is but the rear of it was scaling pretty bad before I cleaned it up.

That's my main thing I like about the bolt ons, you can take em off. I have a welder but it's a POS and I'm garbage at welding with it.

I'm with you on round lights looking better. But I'd think the roof would block some of the light if I used the rack to mount em. If not I'd probably go for that. Saw a 1st gen with an LED roof bar today, didn't look bad but not sure if I'd like it on my own truck

I think I'll probably end up doing a weld on if I go for sliders. I do like the fact that bolt ons come off though easily though. I suppose with a cutoff wheel if you really needed them off you could manage it.

Incorrect. Bolt ons are just as if not stronger.

believe the bracket may be a big part. the DO ones use a U bracket that wraps both sides of the frame. I jacked up my truck with it with no movement. Havent had it banged on a rock yet so I could be wrong, but I feel pretty confident with them.

Then they were dumpy sliders. I had BAMF bolt ons on my taco, and have AP bolt ons on my FJ. They are just as good as weld on period. The bolt on taco sliders wrap around the frame, where weld on are only attaced to the outside face and bottom of the frame. If anything the weld on sliders would rip out of the frame face before the bolt ons failed. Any decent fab shop will tell you either option is more than adequate.

If you have seen bolt on sliders get damaged they were either junk or installed improperly.
