The tires are winters, Hankook Pike RW11s, that I bought as soon as I got the truck.

So finally made the long drive to Cochrane to test out the TRD sport upgraded package as they said they could compete with Country Hills Toyota. They had a beautiful 3" toyo lifted inferno with TRD rims and BFG tires…exactly what I was looking for!
I test drove it and concur the truck is quite gutless from 0-30km/hr, but handles awesome from there on. The ride was smooth, and the lift on the truck handled perfect. The truck was shifting a lot as i drove into the wind which was a bit annoying, and the damn hood was whistling like my current 2012 truck!!
After all was said and done, the demo truck had 400km of bagged km on it, and they were offering $1100 off the total msrp demo price. I thought this was a bit of a joke seeing Country Hills was offering $2000 off a new ordered truck!! I talked to the manager and he was extremely cocky and rude, and basically told me to wait 6 months and get out. He literally did not allow me to counter offer and walked away from me. The salesman looked embarrassed as I was forced to storm out. I will NEVER do business there, regardless of there so called customer service. IMG_1726.jpgIMG_1727.jpg

Also, some of there prices they quoted me were…
    bilstein 5100 3" lift: $1299
    bfg 265/70/17 ties: $290 each
    TRD rims: $350each!
-500 for stock wheel swap credit
service for everything to be installed: $980

For a total of $4400 added onto the $45,700 msrp
No F'n way am I paying $50k for a demo! Good thing I have the ability to wait it out. Then I can also add the bushwhacker fender flares and a black mesh grill

Proud new owner of my second Taco, took delivery from Ens Saskatoon today. I prefer to support local whenever possible and had a great buying experience. Have previously owned an 05 Taco 4x4 ACLB TRD OR AT. Have only had the new machine for a few hours now and already in love.

Had my last free oil change today and JP Downtown. Had a chance to sit in the 2016s they had. 2 Limiteds and 1 DCLB Sport. Pretty nice overall. Not too fussy on the HVAC controls, though I'm a fan of the basic rotary dials and it would be hard to win me off that simplicity. The dash layout seems nice.

Not a huge fan of the new Sport hood, but the grill and front end definitely not as horrid as so many people lead on. I'd be interested to test drive a 6spd manual and see how improved the shifting is.

On that note, got my clutch pedal looked at. They lubed it up real good, but expect to order me the parts for the TSB soon.

Not that I'm in the market for a new truck, maybe in 2020, but it's always a nice feeling to hop in your own ride and be happy with what you got! :D

I love this color and I would get the exact same model if I was trading in my 2013 AC Trd OR

    Great choice

I've seen that! Exactly my truck. When I first saw it I completely ignored whatever Miller was saying and was focused on the truck. :D

Sorry to hear this! I know someone who just bought a Tacoma there and was almost not allowed to drive it off of lot because of a VIN issues AFTER THE SALE!

I really want to buy my next vehicle at Cochrane Toyota, but all I seem to hear about now is them being great on the parts side and dinks on the sales side.

That 5100 price is sadly normal at a Toyota dealer. I just asked what Toytec Boss coil overs are worth before I test drove a 2016 in Lethbridge. They wanted $1700 for them without install, and that was their "customer appreciation" price .

Yeah, the parts guys seems to be pretty cool (met 3 of them!), and I wish I could get them to build my future truck, but the sales manager rubbed me the wrong way...even before he opened his mouth. I met 2 managers actually...they sure were rolling out the carpet for me, all before they dropped the stupid price offer...then they just all turned their back on me. I was paying mostly cash, and this was going to be my 5th taco!

Edit: I emailed Lethbridge Toyota about my experience and the manager personally called me to apologize. He sounds sincere and offered me a very kind complementary service that I will actually use (not another free oil change.) In short, Lethbridge really came through on this and I am very happy to say I look forward to buying a Tacoma from them again at some point in the future.

Well at least that's better than my Lethbridge Toyota story from yesterday. The salesman was a tool. Basically insulted our last purchase decision, then made a big deal out of something that we came in for that was advertised specifically to us, and then took us on the shittiest test drive I've ever been on.

The rest of the staff was great. Now I'm not sure where my next truck in a few years will come from.

Saw that vid. At least give the guy a stuffed hockey bag to haul, not just a pair of hockey pants.

A few years ago, in July, I was at 4th and Burrard and a Tacoma pulled up next to me, 4 guys (couldn't tell who) and the bed loaded with Canucks hockey bags. I don't think the boys haul their own gear around but I guess it could have been some rookies trying out.
