bunch of stuff - Bro Pro style
I have a Honda CR-V with manual trans and a new 16 Tacoma with M/T - Toyota wins hands down not even close for everything.

Tests like that are totally subjective.

Which truck has the best commercials on TV??

Thats about the same as the C&D test comparo...

Funny thing tho the Chevy truck exterior design seems to be copying Tacoma and the Chevy won the appearance category which totally makes no sense at all.

Doesn't matter what that stuff says, we are here cause we bought a Toyota. Talk to me next year and do another comparo with the 15 Chevy vs the 16 Taco.

Side by side parked = Taco win... off road 4WD duty = Taco win .. using truck for work = Taco win...

    nuff said.

My 15' Colorado is gone middle of next week. Dealer finally was able to do a dealer trade for a silver SR, 4X2, Access Cab, 4 cylinder. The SR's with the back seats which deletes the black front end, black bumper, and black door handles are hot little trucks around the mid-west, dealers don't want to let them go.

Nah, Colorado is better looking ( I still throwup a little in my mouth, when I see the new Taco, trying try to like it, not working)..showroom floor off road, taco wins....what kind of work? hauling bags of cotton balls? The Taco's payload is rather lack luster. When the diesel Colorado hits the ground, will make the Taco even less appealing for "work".

Think some of you guys look at the Taco with beer goggles.

I grew up with the Fullsize rangers, we had a couple in the family...when they introduced the new Ranger, it is like they castrated it...tarnishing the name.

Well you certainly have an interesting story.
Oct 6: You join the board exited to buy a '16 Tacoma
Last Saturday: You claim to own a '15 Colorado and seem quite dissatisfied. You announce your intention to trade it. (Couldn't find any posts as to why you were dissatisfied.)
This week: you claim to be shopping for a V6, then decide other members are having problems, so better stay with the 4cyl.
This week: continue to trash the Colorado because you're an expert you actually own one.
Late this week: I ask you to post a picture. I believe your response is you don't have a cell phone.

I'm curious, if you can't afford a cell phone, how are you going to take the hit on first year depreciation and buy what you really want?

    Got a call BS

My bro had 4 of them. He is the biggest tight wad I have ever known. Over the decades he had them, I must admit, he spent less on owning them then I on my Toyota / Tacos. The diffence was, he did nothing but complain about them ( he complains a lot regardless)
He had 2 wd and I had 4 wd and I beat the shit out of mine and the problems I had we breakage.....springs, Uv joins etc.
He used his commuting and trash. So, they were a good light truck if you don't abuse them.

Ex-girlfriend had one...felt a little cheaper than my Toyotas...which isn't saying much..had a '92 pickup at that time, Toyotas felt real tinny coming from big American iron....she beat the crap out of that thing and it kept on ticking.

I don't read reviews , dribble in my opinion . But to be honest , I wouldn't buy another chevy product no matter what the reviews say . I've never owned one that didn't fall apart , piss poor quality

Well, reviews other then reliability reports from CR do all coincide. One does tow more, one does accelerate faster, one does go through a handling course faster......can't deny that. What many who diss the Taco for not having the features of the Colorado is QDR, cost money. So, you get drum brakes, that last longer, a bed, that doesn't rust, a motor with proven reliability and a host of other "behind the times features" that last longer. You ain't getting a diesel from Toyota and you ain't getting a good handling truck with 9nches of ground clearance. Neither are you getting great economic not my with the sacrifices for QDR and off road ability. It's a trade off. It was for the last 10 years too.

Think Chevy did a good job on the Colorado, yeah the styling is kinda bland, but I like that...(also of fan of the 1st Tundra, so you can see why I like the Colorado styling)...don't really care for the Canyon...like the Taco, the grill is too damn big! :)

This is a couple few years down the road, Toyota is planning to phase out gas engines....so a US diesel doesn't even have a chance.

    http://www.nbcnews.com/business/aut...wered-vehicles-doubling-down-hydrogen-n444406

The C&D test, is really splitting hairs if you look at the numbers. I would assume the Colorado diesel will really spread the gap though
