    If you really want to see them lose their shit you should point out that once the truck is in motion he won't even be in the cab anymore but rather up on the trailer kicking bales off into the field.

    Some tree planting crews would use a unimog with a crawl box gearing, leaving it in gear, and drive while out planting. Truck would keep up bringing seedlings with it.

    Yes, like i understand towing a trailer on the public road, and pulling a four wheel farm wagon on the farm are two very different applications.

    Edit: actually I'll take that back. The abuse encountered would be no different than getting your truck stuck in mud, and trying to get out, or starting from a stop and trying to climb a 50 degree slope. Not much different than pulling a 1 ton Dodge out of a driveway. Here's why.
    The hay weight is fully supported by the wagon. The wagon has 4 or more wheels supporting the weight. All the Tacoma needs to do is overcome the friction of the wagon wheels, so it really depends on the conditions - wheel diameter, surface, inflation of the wagon tires, etc. If the friction to get it moving is too much, (similar to being stuck up to your axles in mud) all that will happen is the Tacoma's wheels will spin, or the clutch will take abuse. As for frame damage, that would only occur if there was slack in the connection between the truck and wagon, and you took a run at it. I would think the pintle hook would only have 1/4" - 1/2" of slack at the most, and the acceleration the truck gets up to in that distance is very minimal. So, would the crawl control work? - very likely YES. Would this farm use void his warranty? - I would think so. Is the OP likely to damage the truck? - If he uses it wisely, I doubt it. (ie don't try pulling the loaded wagon when its stuck in mud)
