    It is all supply and demand. Nothing to do with what is fair and what not. The dealer will tack on as many fees as the market will bear, and complicate things further by competing via discounted MSRP. For example, my company picked up a 2016 AC LB V6 manual Sport with towing, bed extender, bed Mat for $33k last week, plus sales tax. The order was placed a week before that. Enquiring today though for another one, following massive interest and demand in this vehicle, I would pay a grand more.
    This truck is becoming a red hot item ....

    Hello everyone,

    I'm new to this forum because I have my eyes set on a 16' Tacoma Sport and plan to buy in the next few weeks.

    I'm wondering how much people have paid for theirs. The dealer I've been talking to does not discount any Tacomas below MSRP since their a "hot item".

    Has everyone been paying MSRP?

    victorville. it will be hard to get below msrp but go in firm on your offering price. Know what you are talking about and tell them where else they can make money. Will you be financing with them? Will they get money for tube steps, etc? You make the deal, not them. this is a terrible area to buy a tacoma in, right now

    Yeah I've been talking to valley high Toyota but they won't budge.
    I can't blame them though, the new Tacomas don't stay on the lot for long.

    Define good deal. Last time I bought a new car when you could haggle for the price, 3-6% above dealer invoice was a good deal. This didn't include dealer holdback. My local Toyota dealer doesn't haggle. The price they quoted me was about 4% when they took off $1400 off the MSRP, not including shipping fee of $900.

    I'd say so
    My local dealer wants 35,600 out the door for a Trd sport 4 door 2x4 with the basic package. (No premium audio, ETC.)

    thats no good man, I just got a true car dealer to get me a 4X4 DCLB with tow and jbl package for 34898. go to true car, build the truck with options then submit. it will spit out a few true car dealers who will all fight to get your business
