Usually if i cant get it off by barehand i used a rubberized work glove from my warehouse i work at. Especially useful if filter is still hot

Finally got it back. Had my 2015 TRD off road for less then 24 hrs and hit a deer. Now it's a TRD Off Road sport. My buddy hooked me up with the hood and matching it all the way around. I guess shit happens for a reason lolbd7ebacfc5085ec2c4eb0b5acae201cd_0c556cd20d634407407e00aaba3570535d6df84b.jpg

    Same as everybody else...
I'm going to try again tomorrow. Just pissed off that I spent about 3 hours running back to the ap store, not to mention the money spent on the filter wrench etc. Should be a 30 minute job max and I wasted a whole day on it. I know in the big scheme of things this is small....just frustrating.

    Ooo any sound clips?
Any noticeable change in low end power?
Read somewhere that after installing this muffler they lost some low end power due to less back pressure ...idk though I don't know much about the back pressure thing

I can understand maybe the Cabin Filter. But you are better off with the Stock OEM air filter

I know over oiled the K&N does more harm than good. This is a short term stop gap on the way to something like the AFe system with a dry filter & Dorkel.

I'm going to say I do feel a bit of low end power loss, but not much. I do like the sound, very happy so far. Here us a short video clip, but the audio from my phone isn't the best.

The turbine in the muffler is supposed to create a "suction" on the exhaust heads so I guess that's what the power loss is from

    Yes.
In racing engines, under most normal circumstances, everything after the headers results in a loss of power and performance, at the advantage of sound control.

Now, that's not to say your emissions won't be affected. In freeing up the exhaust flow, gasses spend less time in the cats, and may result in more pollution. It's possible that having lower back pressure will result in changes to the torque and horse power curves, but in most cases with an after-cat exhaust the perceived loss is in relation to an increased upper rpm power band.

Ive found it to be bit easier if you use the screw driver and hit it on an angle at the sealing point to the engine... Learned that one when I ripped a filter in half with a screwdriver.
