Sorry, haven't logged in for a while. No rubbing at all - and yeah, 2.75" - 3" OME lift.

Got a new addition this weekend -

    - a Wilco Offroad Tiregate VT. Super stoked on it. Feels very solid and I'm glad to finally have my spare out from underneath. I have another Cooper ST Maxx and an SCS F5 wheel on the way for next week.

    Drone_zps0w1iaro8_08e81704d446b73aec02e08dfbd83190c6b07e8e.jpg

Did some flying and generally checkin out the fall colors with @DefconBrix

I've got a ton to get done this next week. I got my compressor mounted and wired up, but I need to install my rear ARB locker and 4.88 gears, plus find some time to add some OME spacers to my front coils to get rid of my rake and get my full size spare put together. Too busy to work, I need to just stay home and work on my truck. haha

Good to know. Over on the 255 post, the only rim that people used with success (meaning no rubbing at all - mount and go) where the 1st gen alloy trd wheels.

Any opinions on the ride with 884 coils and the 4 banger? Most people go with 885 it seems but hard to find info with someone that has the lighter weight of the 4 banger.

That's interesting as the Gen 1 16x7 wheels will be -4.5" backspacing. Just like the SCS F-5, which are awesome wheels.

    Very cool.

Oh yeah, I guess that's the important part - I'm not using stock wheels. The SCS F5s are 4.5" BS.

Thanks man. Yeah I'm @maxdaines on IG

I like it, I feel like they're great for my current setup. Not too harsh. Might have to change it up once the front bumper comes though...

I've made a few more changes, which I'll be posting about later - but for now, check out this episode of On Some Adventure that @DefconBrix and I made. We like to get out and explore Utah as much as we can, so we thought we'd start documenting it. We'll have to find some more gnarly trails, but for now, let me know what you think!

Thanks man. Nitro Charger shocks, and no on the control arm. One day. I believe the lift cost around $1300 before installation - bought it from @cruiseroutfit

Thanks! It's fun to make, hopefully fun to watch.

I'm around 15-20mpg right now - but that's not adjusted for my speedometer, which is off now that I have 33s. I don't worry about mpg too much, since I only drive 9 miles to work, all in town. I am installing 4.88s on Monday though, so that should make it better.

Got my full size spare mounted on a @SCSPerformance F5 wheel (Thanks Vin!) and installed on the Wilco Offroad Tiregate VT.

Also took the Tacoma over to spend some time with @cruiseroutfit yesterday... very stoked.

I like the Idea. I was won over by the price of the base model.

I also have a 13 AC 2.7 with the 884's on it. love it, though I still have to upgrade to better tires. Yours looks very nice, several things you've done I plan to do with mine as well. Great simple vehicles I must say.
