damn dude when it rains, it shits all over the place...er....yeah. sorry to hear bud. i actually did some work at your offices back in the day with an old company i used to work for. it was the guys that set up the exterior elevators (swing stages) for window washers and painters. stay strong, we're rooting for you man.

 

That news can be nerve racking for anyone in that position. I wish you guys made Call of Duty 2 (which is coming out tomorrow!!!!)

ea will look at studios and departments as a whole. rarely, does ea look at individuals when making lay off decisions.

i have survived 6 lay offs in my employment here.

 

I work for the airlines - we worry about cutbacks all the time. Things always work out in the end, though. Just hang tight!

The entertainment industry is usually pretty resilient during time of economic woe, but this time around it was hit pretty hard. I know the studio one of my friends works at laid off almost everyone he worked directly with. . . he's all alone in an empty room now. . . =/

well, damn.

i got a layoff notice. 70 people at the studio got hit.
my last day is february 26, but they are offing a generous severance package. essentially, i will get paid through july of 2010.

meh.. anyone need an engineer?
