They are the OE running boards from Toyota available for the 2nd generation Tacoma. They bolt right up the the existing threaded holes on the truck. It took me less than 10 minutes to install. They are half the price of the boards listed for the 3rd Gen and probably weigh less. I chose these boards because they appear to sit higher, concealing the body joint and frame.

I was in the same boat. I was looking at buying the TRD Pro wheels off the 4Runner. But I am happy the way it looks with the new tires... For now. I did install a 1.25 inch wheel spacer to give the truck a wider stance. The wheels and tires are no longer sucked inside the fenders.

are the sides of your truck dirtier from the tires now that you have spacers?

I just put them on yesterday so I don't know but I'm sure they will kick up more dirt. I would never run mud flaps. So glad to see they are not standard.

Which spacers did you go with and where did you order them? I'm looking to do the same thing, thanks.

It is not the same cab. All you need to do is ride in the limited to see all of the changes. Plus the dimensions are not the same. BTW, this thread is all about posting your 3rd Gen Magnetic Gray tacomas. There are plenty of threads to post your dislike for the truck in general.

You have to drive it before you hate. Yes the cab structure may be the same but they have improved in so many ways.

    Wrong thread man.

If you're asking questions this basic, I'd suggest using google first.

Finally got my Ltd where I want it. Shaved the badges except for the Tacoma badge (which I plasti dipped), had the chrome trim on the grille, fog lights, mirrors and door handles wrapped in satin black vinyl, front Toyota badge wrapped in a brushed metallic black vinyl, plasti dipped the rest of the grille black bc it has too many sharp edges to vinyl wrap (I'll probably end up buying the SR grille), and plasti dipped the wheels black, then dusting of brass metallic, then one coat of glossifier for a satin finish.
