Welcome to TW. You're just lucky it's not one of the topics folks have randomly deemed worthy of 8+ threads.

I 'thought' I heard more noise in mine as well but honestly I am not sure. I took a look at one of the rear vents and it appears fine. I have a screw driver propping one vent open on the far right in the 1st photo.
You can see the clips holding the vent assembly onto the cab. The whole thing pops out easily if you press these tabs down. I also noticed a fair amount of dust in the vents as well as on some of the plastic moldings covering the back and side wall area of the cab. Seems it could seal better.

Also found a plastic plug in the floor I assume to run cables through if needed.

Mike... did you have the black hard plastic panels behind the seat like mine?...(Storage containers).. Looks like you have a soft type of rear cab covering...

If you had the hard, how did you remove it?... I took out 3 screws per side but there are still clips or something holding them in...

    Any help?

Yes I removed the black panel. The 3 screws like you mentioned then 2-3 plastic red push in clips and one metal clip in the lower right corner (for the drivers side panel). With the screws removed pull the panel outward starting at one corner to pop the clips out of the holes in the cab. FYI: the lower metal one will scratch the plastic covering the seatbelt area as you're pulling the entire panel up and out.

Once the panel is out there is a fabric like material fastened to the cab with black plastic push pins. They also pull out.

You guys with the high pitched sound...that I don't have are gonna hate me...

My brother who lives in Manzanillo Mexico thinks some of you guys have Cicadas in your truck... It's mating season in Mexico and he sent me this link to their mating sound....

Could this be it for those Mecican trucks,..?? Maybe they hitched a ride north of the border..??
