    When I got my 16 Tacoma. I got a free lifetime powertrain warranty and oil change for life. I was wondering how many others got this deal?

    I did...as long as all service is done at that dealership, though.

    you must provide them with documentation that you did EVERY recommended service in the paperwork that Toyota provides. If you miss a service deadline, you are hosed. Most people don't understand how much these services cost when you do them at a dealer or even at a certified mechanic. You must do them all on time.

    If you do ever submit a claim, their initial response will be a denial to see if you will back off and fix it yourself.

    You also say they are giving you lifetime oil changes? Are they 10,000 mile oil changes?

    The lifetime warranty requires ALL recommended service to be completed. That is tranny flushes, injector cleaning, belts, hoses, etc. EVERYTHING

    most of these lifetime warranties are through BG Products, I understand that the services can be performed by any BG dealer, and only applies to systems with documented BG treatments.

    Nothing is "free". Always a cost involved. Just depends whether you pay upfront or over time with service work. Sorry to be a downer. Just seen this lifetime or 1,000,000 mile warranties used to fool consumers for too many years.
