I do miss my manual transmission. I kept the TRD shifter ball from KRULL and want to mount it in my new truck to commemorate my old truck but the diameter of the shift lever in my new truck is way smaller... does anyone make an adapter for that.

The camper shell cannot get here soon enough! We were in a slight drought here in Louisiana and of course the day I sell my truck it has rained every day since!! November 10 is what they are telling me. I have the front runner rack ready to go on!

Installed the awning and CB antenna today..... Comes in handy to be able to cover the doors. I had a cyclocross race today and it was pouring down raining and i was able to stay perfectly dry. Debating on whether i should install my tent on the cab or wait and install it on my shell..... Thoughts?

Looks good! I would go with on the shell. Looks much more proportional in my opinion.
Plus with it set back farther, it hopefully won't cause as much drag.

Curious to see how my truck is going to sit..... Same shell, rack, and tent minus the bumpers minus the D29XL AAL in the rear. It's going to be interesting. Can't wait!!!

Yeah. I was thinking about this the other day. I don't want to throw in the d29 if I'm going to be flipping shackles and running the XJs. But I think I'm going to need something when that bumper gets here...

@ckeene9 can help here. There a bunch of schools of thought. I ran the d29xls with the stock shackles. He runs the dakars with the extended shackles :notsure:

Yep I'm gonna run the longer shackles. No Aal. Man that is a lot of stuff to get at once. May have to just run the Aal till I can afford it...:anonymous:

I've heard 2 different opinions on flipping the shackles.. Either do it because you get more droop, or don't do it because the springs that are made for our trucks are made for our stock shackles, so flipping them would make negative arc? Something like that.. @dakotasyota knows.. Interested to know what the best thing to do is

Did you adjust your rear bunpstops to prevent springs going into negative arch or did you never have that problem at all.

Also are the Dakars designed to go into negative arch? Seems like I read that somewhere. Maybe I made it up
