$1100 increase avg. Suppose you gotta pay for the side bags, VSC/TRAC, and LED taillights somehow. Good time to get 08'.

I couldn't find an 08 with my specs so I ended up ordering an 09 but still not sure if I am going to go forward with it when it comes in....sure tempting though with the additional standard features...its worth it to me for what I would be getting.

Don't worry. It will be worth it. What dealership did you go through?

yeah since the 08 is not moving so well... what makes them think the 09 is going to move more anymore faster? even with the new added stuff?

If 09 is the same price as 08 and I'll bitch at them to knock it down, I bet they will do it...

I get fleet pricing at Cavender out off Bandera. We had tried to build an 08 but that change got denied since the 09 was about to go online so we built an 09 as close to specs as possible. The 08 with my pricing was just under $27 if I am remembering correctly. Its pretty difficult to find a DC 4x4 with tow package, SR5, limited slip, sound enhancement, 6 cd, alloys and a couple other things in South Texas. I found a few but most were without the tow package and that is a must for me. As far as pricing we had to just guess on that as at the time there was nothing out for it....so we will see what it looks like when it arrives.

I would have paid an extra $1100 to get all those features.

Sounds like that 08' would have been a really good deal. Too bad you couldn't order it. The 2009 will be pretty much the same, but you will have the side airbags in the rear plus VSC (Vehicle Stability Control).

I got my 08' from Alamo Toyota off I-410. They treated me well, but it took some haggling to things where I wanted them. I would have gone with 4-wheel-drive, but the LSD rear end really takes care of most situations where 4WD might be "required".

If I may make a suggestion - get the locker if possible.

The LSD rear end is wonderful, but I am chewing up tires pretty fast as it is "lock-happy". Every time I go to take a sharp turn under power it wants to lock the inside wheel. Don't get me wrong - I love it. I have a rear end that will grab just about anything as long as both wheels are on the ground. However, when the clutch wears out on this rear end I will be replacing the entire rear end with a OEM e-locker setup. I prefer to be able to choose when I will be using my locker and when I just want to drive a regular truck.

It was a great deal on the 08 but I figure that its not much change in price for the 09 and if you had to pay for all the items on an 08 that are now standard on the 09 your actually coming out ahead. Good point on the locking rear diff. If I dont end up taking this one I will certainly consider that on the next.....I drive alot of highway miles but just as many off road, dirt road back woods pastures as well.
I visited 4 or 5 dealers around just to see what type of pricing I could get and answers to the questions I had when I first started looking. I got the same answers usually but came across some really rude sales people too. Then I found out that I qualified for fleet pricing and that was the end of my search.

If you don't mind me asking... How did you qualify for fleet pricing?
