    I put a used (5 year old... it was free) BMW AGM battery in to limp around with. I'm going to try to get 2 newer (1 year old-ish) since they started replacing them every year as part of the maintenance plan on some cars and try a dual setup that way.

    Yeah I kill mine quite frequently and bought both in 2010. I kill the secondary battery pretty much every night we camp on off road trips because my stereo is on it.
    Mine are both deep cycle. Made more sense to me for the use. I don't live in an area where it gets very very cold for long times and I don't have a motor that needs the cranking amps to get started. The batteries are small enough to fit both where the stock battery goes and yes, with the wiring system I have I can operate them independently or link them to each other to jump start my own truck and charge both batteries at the same time. Or I just leave the controller in auto and it works itself. Haha

    The upside to one big battery is obviously the size of it. You can just get a beast of a battery that has big cold crank amp numbers and big deep cycle amp numbers. But ...... The battery controller I have links them in parallel, which is what provides the jump start ability and also provides the amps from both batteries for things like winching. So I can double my cold cranking amps or double my deep cycle amps with a push of a button.

    In summary, I'd say a dual battery setup is always a better option, giving the exact same parameters. Now money spent is a lil different. I'm in that battery setup about $1000

    Levi you clean your truck yet or is it just chillin? I washed mine, found my rear diff has a big dent in it by the fill plug, my pass slider has a big dent in it where the kick out is, my ifs skid and the lower part of my front bumper are just fucked and my driveshaft looks like hammered shit, soooooooo I went muddin Sat and covered it back up. Haha

    Everett, you have any issues with removing the oil filter past the battery? My coworker has a 950CCA AGM he pulled out of a newer car, but that sumbitch is 15.5" long :eek: i'm not sure if i can get it to fit.

    Hahaha you ain't lyin. I bet I did it on the same place as the driveshaft. It's bad enough to think about building a truss and armor.

    So I had flipped the CB like you said Gid, and the sound went away but now it's starting to come back a little bit. Guessing it's destroyed this side of the CB as well. Thinking of getting a one piece and just saying fuck the carrier bearing. Instead of paying $200 for a new one

    Let me know Zack. Also, anyone have opinions on the old style bfg mt's? Found a set of 5 255/75 for 400, they have 11k on them. And 1 is brand new. Was plannin to go 255/85 when I could afford it and my stock size at's die, but seems like a pretty good deal.

    I really want LT lift with sealed ball joints. But it doesn't exist and wallet said no to LT anyway. Wallet also said no to coilovers. Guess I'll reuse all my OME stuff.
