Just FYI, He did not reinstall the bumpstops for the Total chaos LCA's. No bumpstops means the shocks will now be the bumpstops. And yes that will cause them to break like they did.

Sounds like @ToyTec Lifts tried to make ir right with him, but customer failed to re-install bump shocks.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
He said he didn't take it offroad (Ill give him the benefit of the doubt) so suspension shouldn't cycle anywhere near the bumps; Im curious what his front setup looks like.

    Im guessing stock length LCA?

In the bike shop world, that's what we call a JRA. As in: "I was Just Ridin' Along, and both wheels folded up and the seatpost broke. I swear I wasn't doing anything that should have caused that."

On road or off, you can bottom out the shock. The all to common argument made that " top plate spacers are fine if you don't offroad," is classic ignorance and highly related to this issue. In both cases people are installing parts that turn the shock into the bump stop with the potential for disastrous results. The guy in OP's video could of hit a good speed bump at speed and caused that sort of damage if he did not have the proper bump stops installed.

A monster pot-hole will cause the same kind of strain that you will find off-road.
