    I couldn't believe how bad this looked on the 2016. A hole drilled right on the front bumper, for the block heater plug.
    It looked so out of place. I see a few pictures on autotrader with it in the front bumper, but most are by the fog light housing.

    Give me the old style heater cord sticking out of the grill any day. I snapped the plastic on the fog lamp housing one day last winter when it was -30. You also have to plug the dumb Toyota cord into the housing , then plug that cord into a standard extension cord. Just a royal pain. And your screwed if you lose or don't have the Toyota cord. Another example of the old style working so why change it.

    I would expect PU140-00905 or PU140-00913 would work just fine if you'd like to have the old-style cord for the 3.5L V6. PU140-00906 is the old-style block heater for the 2.7L L4.

    The heater itself is the same, however the cords are slightly different. I don't remember the exact differences, but can check tomorrow.

    I'm expecting my 2016 in couple of weeks. I've sent the dealer an email asking about this as well.
