Well to be honest part of it seeming daunting was my own fault... I covered the instruction in far more detail then what was needed so that nearly any conceivable question or potential problem is covered in the instructions.

In reality what it comes down to is removing a few panels and running some wires. I wouldn't say it's an overly complex install, but maybe a little bit time consuming to run everything nice and tidy so it all finishes looking like a factory installed option.

The most difficult part is running the wires across the dash, and getting the wires through to the doors. Mirror wire running is a bit of a pain, def easier with a helping hand.

Took me and my buddy 3.5hrs to install, we've probably installed 5 custom stereo systems in our day.

Am I out of line in saying a video might be value added or no?

Nope not out of line at all. A video may have helped for some, but some areas were very hard to bring into focus even with a camera and multiple pictures. Although not impossible a video would have been pretty tough to shoot for some of the places that the wires get routed.

Some of the pictures of course make more sense once you have the trim pieces pulled off and can see exactly what you are dealing with.

Just wanted to chime in to say I was able to install my custom harness for the new heated mirrors and they work like a charm. I was even able to activate them with my remote starter. The kit was well-made and installed cleanly. Very happy with it.

I'm just packing up some orders right now... You guys have kept me busy tonight lol. If you would like why don't you point out exactly which areas you could use some further elaboration on and I'd be glad to help. Just let me know which page(s) on the instructions.

It is fairly straight forward once you are doing it, but I also want to make sure you don't get in over your head... And I'm sure you don't either.

Perfect glad to hear it. I'm actually working with another member right now who did the same thing and works great. Now he is just wiring in a switch to disable that feature in the summer months. I appreciate the order and hope you enjoy the kit!

I want Up2NoGood !!!!!!!! I've needed these since my 09 taco I had. Never knew there was such an awesome option as yours!!!!! Kit looks great. Instructions are the best I have ever seen!!! Just to be safe(I did read most of thread but want to make sure I didn't miss anything) those mirrors fit my 2014 Sport model? Your kit looks better than an actual Toyota one. Great work

You got it! Thanks, I try to be modest but most people are blown away when their order arrives. I don't pump these out like a factory and make sure each one that goes out is fully tested and built to a high standard that I wouldn't think twice about installing in my own truck.

The mirrors will be an exact match to what you currently have on your truck except with heating elements built into them. Otherwise a direct replacement... when you are done everything will look like it was built into the truck right from the factory

I'll put you up on the list right now and also send over a PM on how to finish off your order

lol I need to give you the names of anyone on the fence so you can start convincing. @Palehorse1 also had a nice inspirational video haha

Nice... I'm sure it won't be long before you start getting some frost too. Whether it's for dew or frost, it is really nice to simply push a button to clear your mirrors off!

Consider it done! Thanks for the order. Did you want to look into what is possible using a AOB brand switch or just go with the standard Under the AC switch that is with the kit?

That video makes me laugh with how intense he is... my daughter thinks he is crazy though

FYI - it seems the muthco PDF installation doc links are dead; muthco must have restructured their site. 2012 muthco installation doc PDF can now be found here.
