I had an 02 8.1L 2500HD before my Tacoma, and it was a fantastic truck. 10MPG empty or full, but that truck had torque for days.. And would easily pull anything I ever threw at it.

Im late to the towing party. But I've towed our boat and a toy hauler up north a few times and the Tundra really impressed me. Also I'm used to being in a 2014 Duramax. Obviously didn't do as well as the diesel. But still did better than I thought. 28' toy hauler got about 8-9mpg haha

Getting away from the "fleet" and don't have the room for an enclosed trailer.

The newer F150 I picked up is doing great as a daily and can get to campsites just fine, will haul ass on the highway for road trips, and will tie the buggy on an open trailer.

Got rid of the 4Runner for more size and range.
