Do you guys usually just replace the hub assembly then rather than the bearing/race/seal? It is more pricey but maybe it would save me some trouble. either way I'm going all OEM and doing it myself and I'd rather pay more for tools and parts than pay the dealer for labor.

I've never done it. Especially after reading all the horror stories I probably never will.

    Why are you replacing them?

Umm well I'm at 200K and overhauling most of the front end. Also I'm putting new CVs in and doing the ECGS diff bushing mod. It just seemed like the best thing to do but I'm not sure I'm having any actual trouble with the bearings. It's hard to say tho since I am pretty sure I'm getting vibration from the diff bearing.

If I was going to take the wheel bearing on I would consider buying an OTC bearing tamer. You need a huge 5ft breaker bar and something with a coarse thread forcing screw to get them in, a press just isn't good enough.

    Ok thanks guys @Blackdawg @Speedytech7 @Phoenix autoworks

I think I will leave the wheel bearings til later then and just focus on the diff bearings and CV. I was thinking it was a common overhaul thing.

Just installed these wheels in gunmetal today along with 265/70/17 Duratracs. Really changed the look over factory.
