I know...that would be awesome if we all could live in the same state and could all hook up together and go wheeling!! What's so sad...I only know one place to wheel here in Ohio...and it's private property we had to pay to play...$20! Wow...that's back 8-9 years ago when I had my Jeep....I know...please know hate mail!! I sold it....did the right thing and buy a Toyota!!

@ramonortiz55 you need to hit the trails to break in the sweet new lift you have. Do you have places that you can go wheeling? Do you have a group of buddies to ride together with?

After your done playing, Don't forget...after you flexed that suspension and put about 500 miles on it...you need to put it back up in the air and re-torque all of your bolts. It's just a good safe idea to do!!

@RedRunner87 dude Copper Mountain was my favorite mountain to ski!! We use to live on the back side of the mountain where there where 2-3 double black diamond bowls to run...so much fun!!

My goal is to make a pilgrimage to Colorado with my 4Runner and run some of the back trails in the mountains. Run across old cabins and gold/siliver mines...I think that would be so much fun!! Hopefully someday...!

Hey...that might be something we can plan for. Unfortunately it can't be in 2016...we already have two big vacation planed. But after that I'm game. That would give me plenty of time to re-gear and put in my e-locker!

I can't wait for the mountain to open and I can hit the slopes. We got a little snow last night and supposed to get some more next week.

Looks like we will have to get something rolling in 2017.

I have before. I like to have some extra vehicles with me since it is super easy to bury yourself and be screwed.

I used to take my Grand Cherokee out when I lived in the mountains of AZ. I had BFG M/T's and a V8, so basically used them as paddle tires. But once you are stuck it is a PITA to get unstuck.

Not much going on with the Runner. I have the money for a lift, but Addicted Offroad hasn't ruled out a Black Friday sale. So I think I am holding off till I hear for sure whether they are going to have one or not.

I assure you...I got a lot done this weekend. We are having an awesome Indain Summer...heck it was 72* today out..in November!! Anyway made it hard to work on Sgt Yoda!! I so much wanted to jump on my 4Wheeler and go riding! But instead, I talked my buddy into coming over and we worked all day on Sgt Yoda!

I got the enginge button back up. Which completed installing a new timing belt, water pump, hyd tensioner, and a new 170* thermostat. New wires, plugs and belts. My valve covers were leaking, so I bought a set and had a buddy powder coat them. Wow...they're sharp! And last...finished hooking up my new headers and supercharger. I decided it get some bling...so I bought a red anodized pulley for the crank. Wow...that things is so light compared to the original. And then the last thing I finished getting done was installing a new DC high output alternator. It puts out 180 amps, which I'll need for all my lights and winch.

Now I've started changing out the big 3 with 1/0 gauge battery cables and then I need to install my new Bussman relay box I got in the groupd buy. Then all my lights...I'll just start hanging them. Unsure if I will use all the lights I have. Unfortunately I'm still waiting on my switches to come in that will operate all the lights. They should have been here today...oh well, I'll send out an email in the morning. This is the last time I try to do so much at one time. It almost...not quite, but almost take the fun out of working on my 4Runner. Just so much to do! I'll get some more done next weekend. I think I have about 2...maybe 3 more days of work to get everything done and back on the road...that is..if I don't screw anything up...hahaha!!

Something I'm terrible at is taking pictures. I get started working and I forget to stop and take pictures. I'm going to try and work on this. And get more pictures of my work. I've never done a write up or started a build thread...although I should. That would be helpful if the day ever came that I felt the need to sell my Sgt Yoda!! Hope you enjoy the couple pics I do have...

    image.jpg
The old TB with 100,000 on it...looked just as good as the new one.

    image.jpg
I was scared to take the valve covers off, but to my happiness...she was clean as a whistle with 175,000 miles. That's why a use Amsoil...here's your proof it works. Change the oil every 8-10,000 miles.

    image.jpg
I got my Doug Thory headers installed. I've had these almost 2 years. Been putting the install off. Guys were say you had to pull the motor...drop the trans. BS...Whatever!! Fitment was perfect!! The cross-over pipe was the only real difficult part. Install was an 6 out of 10 for difficulty!

    image.jpg
Tossing out the exhaust system. Got a great deal on a nice stainless steel exhaust system w/ new cat. This will be close to the last thing I install.

    image.jpg
Here's that pretty red anodized pulley I was telling you about. Got it from URD...this has to be 10-15lbs. lighter than stock!

    image.jpg
Everything is still rough and dirty looking..so my valve covers don't look as good as they did sitting on the work bench...lol!! Oh well...still better than the oily mess they were before!!

    image.jpg
Here's my sweet new alternator waiting to be installed. Just noticed...not really sitting in the best of places...what a dummy!! The good news is...I didn't blow up the battery with my new alternator...lol!!
