I hate that the Toyota website makes you pick a location before they let you build and price a truck. Why does the region matter for price? ALL other manufacturer website has a standard cost for each vehicle based on the package/options you choose. When I build a truck on Toyota.com, I get different prices depending on what zipcode is used. It also only lets me build based on the trucks on the ground in that area. (I know there is a master price list posted on here.) But I would like to play around with it on their website to see what I want to get and what it would cost me.

Also, the Tacoma is still my number 1 option mainly due to expected reliability, resale and off road abilities.
But damn, the twins are making me really debate this next purchase decision based on them winning basically every other category. So for now, I wait and see how both new models hold up for the first few years.

I almost walked out with this pretty lady yesterday, 2015 F150 5.0L XLT 4WD with 6'' lift, $39k will buy you this, which is my biggest gripe with the new taco, pricing is just not worth it in my opinion. $32-35k was a stretch for the gen 2s, you tell people how much they cost and most people say wtf.

Ok, but again, there are plenty who paid that on 2nd gens for pros/Baja. That doesn't mean the 2nd gen is a 40k truck, but using your logic it does mean the 2nd Gen is a 40k truck.

Selectively extrapolating data points to make blanket statements about a statistical population is a dangerous game! Save that for the politicians!

How so, I paid $34k OTD for my 2015 TRD LB 4WD. That's a lot less than $39-40k OTD for a 3rd gen equivalent.

Haha BlueT getting desperate now! Talking about 0-60 times in trucks! Oh how times have changed :)

If I want to beat some high school kids off the line I'll take my rs4.

looks like we paid about the same for a long bed 4wd TRD, except mine has tons more features being a 2016, and mines an off road which wasn't even available before. If I wanted to be childish and use your logic, then I could claim 3rd gen cheaper than 2nd Gen. Woo woo!

What more features? Unless you have a tech package there's not much more bud, and more isn't better always and I doubt you paid 34k OTD for a 4WD OR TRD LB, picture of deal or didn't happen, sorry but calling you out seeing that would be below invoice. And no one is being childish, just observing that the truck is a) more expensive than previous gen b) after rebates on fullsizes is the same or more than a similar equipped F150, Silverado, etc.

No it wouldn't, invoice is in the 33s on these including tda.

Am I know supposed to post the link from last week showing a 2nd Gen at a dealer for 48k? So again using your logic I guess 2nd gens are 50k trucks!

You have Rs4? or your Dad has RS4?
Did your mom let you play with truck yet?
I get it, if I bought truck that sounds like Honda Civic and has acceleration of the dump truck, I would be on internet defending it to the bitter end too.
    :D

BTW If you knew anythign about cars you would know 0-60 is pretty much done by low end torque so comparing that number to 2gen is exactly what people need.

Without a single option a 7568 is $31814 invoice, with TTL you would be right at $34k I doubt you a) are getting a truck that is only 5% of all tacomas produced for invoice b) and at $34k OTD, again prove me wrong and show me your deal.

Some of you guys here need to relax and not take everything personal. We all love tacomas but most of us don't drink the kool aid and call out clear issues/gripes and price/features for price is one.

Actually come to think of it my bro got $350 for referral so technically I paid closer to 33k if I include that. There are 4 dealerships within 15mi of my house, wasn't hard to just shop around. Took just a few hrs of emailing. I'm not some sicker that walks into a dealership and demand first truck they have lol.

WTF are you talking about? Guys in this forum are $38-40K OTD posting this for 3rd gens. I personally have a coworker who bought a TRD Sport for $38 and change OTD, MSRP plus TTL, etc. That is almost $40k truck I paid $34k OTD that is a almost $35k truck. WTF are you smoking dude.

    And the GoPro mount.
    Here is the kicker ...
GoPro stock is down after Toyota included mount for GoPro cameras...

Ok, and guys in this forum have spent over 40 (just saw one listed at 48) for 2nd gens. That doesn't mean the 2nd Gen is a 40k truck, however by your logic it does.

The fact you can't see an issue with pulling data at the tail end of the curve and applying it to a statistical population just proves you don't know what you're talking about.
