You could also try Built Right UCA's. They're uniball and they generally go for around $500-520 I believe. From what I've read no one has said anything bad about them.

I'll be entertaining all options, hopefully in a couple years from now when these ball joints run there normal life span.

Oh gotcha. I thought you were thinking real soon. I'll probably go with the Built Right's in about a year or so.

i bought mine used from TacoFMS, he said they had somewhere between 12k to 15k on them, one ball joint was completely shot the other was on the highway to hell :D. They had the old style bushings that also need replacing, which he said. I said fuck it and replaced all bushings an ball joints. Had them on for about a month and a half now, no issues or noises. Alignment is the best it's ever been while lifted (obviously). I've wheeled with them on for all of about 15 minutes so far.... waiting for the next wheeling trip to really test them and the coils out.

Haven't decided yet, but I'll be getting new ones by spring because I'm going spindles and c/o's set at factory height. Wanted to do UCA's while I'm in there.

Why spindles? I thought you were actually going to do 4x4 conversion?

Came to my senses on practicality. It's much more practical for me to set this truck up for smooth riding for the next two years of college since I'll be doing so much driving. Once I get the front done I'm just gonna gear and maybe lock the rear for light wheeling. When I graduate and am making big boy dollas I'll decide at that point whether I want to get an old Solid axle yota for wheeling and just tow it with this thing or if I wanna 4x4 this thing and get a car or maybe another tacoma as a daily.

What position do you have your BJ's set? Mine were aligned with the upper BJ clocked back to face the cab (3 o'clock if you are standing to face your Driver side tire). I always blamed this for my rubbing, no shop I've been to has been able to get it to my liking.
Oil filter was a breeze btw, no clearance issues.

If you are doing drop spindles I don't think you need aftermarket UCA'S to get alignment. Unless you had some other plan?

I won't. But as fucked as my front end is now, I might as well go ahead and put something better in there than stock. More of just a "I want to and can" thing. Might try to see what kind of travel numbers I can get as well. I'll have to replace my lower Balljoints too as they're unbelievably shot. Those will just get new ones pressed in the factory LCA though.

I set my driver's side neutral (D setting), and the passenger side at C (+ 1*). I downloaded this alignment spec sheet.
