    Can you cut the extension on your bump stops and weld them back up shorter so you can get more travel?

    What do your leaf springs look like sitting on your bump stop?

    Yeah I can. I can see the two lines on the shock. Upper is where it's at when flexing. The lower more defined line must be full compression. Looks like the superbumps compress bout 3/4".

    So it looks like I could shorten it 1.25" and still be safe. That would be nice. Would give me approximately 3" before I hit bumpstop. Still though... that's not that much :mad: My bump plates are worn down to bare metal... that should give you an idea how much I hit them.

    My leafs are almost flat at full stuff. I don't mind a little bit of negative arch on the 63s... they're such a flat leaf to begin with.

    QUESTION: Would a 2" stroke air bump be a good idea?? If I'm gonna hit bumpstops so often it would probably be nice to enjoy it a little more.... Or do I not have enough uptravel to properly use air bumps? Where's my LT guys at?!

    I wouldn't trim too much on that bump spacer. They compress more than you think. Slide that little rubber washer up on your shock to the shock body, go for a good romp and try to bottom the rear out hard, maybe flex once good too. You'd be suprised how much those superbumps compress when smashed on. Heres the best pic I could find, and this is static weight of the truck too on a jack, imagine what that would compress to when the momentum weight of a hit comes down on it.

    I dont have much up travel either. I'll take pictures of my setup tomorrow with no weight in the bed. I have the pelfrey kit with 2.0's air bumps. They have maid a big difference in what little uptravel I've got when i'm weighed down on trips.

    the crawl box is a 4.7 reduction. the stock t-case low is a 2.3 or 2.8 reduction.

    In compound low in 6th gear it won't go faster than 15mph if that.
