Wouldn't write the 3 leaf AAL off completely for all applications. With lighter loads and less aggressive off road use, they probably are okay.

My original install was on an OR 2 leaf pack without factory overload installed. Rode great, performed well off road. Sagged back to stock height over a one year period and wound up snapping one of the pack clamps on the driver side while flexing. Icon sent me a new one free under warranty. Took the opportunity to buy a fresher but used (and cheap) OEM 3 leaf pack from a TW member and giving the AAL another go on this pack, this time with factory overload installed. Time will tell, but early indications are very good.

Should I have gone straight to an aftermarket pack from the start? Not sure even now.

The 2 leaf packs were shit. I installed my icon progressive aal on my 3 leaf pack without the overload and love it!! If I were gonna do any extensive off roading or overland trips with a ton of added weight I'd probably consider a more aggressive route such as a Dakar pack.

I can get one to ya tomorrow. I have no overload and I still have a very slight rake. Keep in mind, I have the BAJA which is a 2&1/2 front lift and no rear lift (without the AAL).

I like a single, long add a leaf better. Its only a touch stiffer but its usable as a truck.

I have run a few brands, and broken a few. So far I have had the best success with that cheapo egay one I posted. 1446640819723.jpg They aren't the prettiest thing, but work well. Im pretty hard on springs anyway.

Here's a picture with factory overload. If you go this route, you'll need to cut the forward brackets off the overload as shown.

I didn't use my factory overload, I have the icon progressive AAL, I had to cut off the rear brackets.

I can't find any pics installed, and can't take them since I didn't like the setup but here are some pics for reference of the 3 leaf progressive.

Mine came from wheelers with the worst coating I have ever seen on something I bought, and they were made in Canada.

For what its worth wheelers was excellent to deal with, just the one particular product was lame as hell.20150514_163124.jpg20150514_165024.jpg

I If you look closely at those two pictures, those springs came that way, directly out of the package.

Needless to say, but I can post pictures if you like they rusted and flaked instantly after installation. I only ran them for a few weeks.

They were soft, with the overload removed to save the clamp they were virtually no lift at all. They did seem to help a little with spring wrap, however it would still hop the rear wheel if floored.

Wow....that sucks man. My icon has been fine all the way around. Paint is fine, lift and performance as well. Zero problems.

It is what it is, no big deal I just share it so others don't have the same thing.

I almost tried the icon, but didn't want to go 2 fuck ups in the whole lol. Glad you have better results!

I thought Wheelers and Icon sourced the AALs from the same manufacture?

Ended up getting it all from Headstrong instead. Except the Camburg Ball Joint UCA's. Those I got from DownSouth MotorSports
