How soon are you looking to get it done?

I have some argon, depending on when @SlowlyButSurely wants to get the welding done. I might be able to bring it down, one weekend.

 

100% pure argon? Needs to be 75/25 argon/c02.

 

Not sure of the %, but it came with my welder. Welder is a Lincoln wire welder, I can check this weekend.

 

If it came with the welder then most likely 25/75.

Does anything smell or look burnt? Also check for cracked solder joints.

 

Lake Conasauga is pretty nice, although it is closed part of the year. There are several places around the north Georgia mountains that are either cheap or free to camp.

Well my search for a Tacoma will be put on temporary hold. Had a deal lined up this weekend however they insulted me on my trade in value. They only wanted to give me $15k for it. Claimed it was black book value which was a lie. I quickly told the salesman this and I already know what the black book is on the vehicle ($19k-$21k) but I am not willing to give it away and buy your vehicle. You will have to give me what I want (fair value) for my vehicle and work a deal on the truck. The appraiser only came up to $19k for my trade in. Dealer in Bham will give me what I want for trade in but they want MSRP+ pricing on the truck.

Going to have to find a way to unload this car before getting in another Tacoma. Maybe by then you can actually work a deal one of these trucks again. Every dealer thinks they are made out of gold.

 

Mob Town, here, aka Mobile, AL. So how often do you guys have meets? I've been a member for a while, but I'm just now starting to navigate through this site. When y'all meet, do you go on rides? This is something I would love to start doing. It's like backpacking, but with my truck and gear.

 

What dealer in B'ham?

 

I was thinking about some of the group buys that are set up on this site. Has anyone ever tried to set up a group buy for the entire truck? It would have to be a state by state or maybe even a regional thing. Of course it would have to be serious buyers ready to purchase. A dealer could make some kinda deal for a group buy, I'm sure. Would be in the dealer's best interest, because volume = dollars for the dealership. Just a thought.
