    Damn, my guy said 3rd week in November and I ordered October 8th. Did you ever get a temp vin because that has the week it supposed to be built and your guy was probably unaware.

    Originally the dealer said that a buddy of his had the truck I wanted and he could get it in a few days. After I told him I wanted it, I asked for a vin and he started saying that it wasn't assigned a vin yet and hadn't even made it to port. So turns out that his buddy must have been the Toyota processing plant in Texas.

    Sounds like your guy is doing you right. I'm having to fly into town to pick up my truck so I kept calling him to try and get a dead set date so that I wouldn't show up and my truck not be there. I have talked to this guy since early October and today is the first day he has called me with an actual vin on the truck. Then on the down side, I still don't feel like I'm getting the best deal possible on my new truck.
