I was set on 887 with 5100, at zero and adding a .5" plate to get full 3". This is wha Dan at wheelers recommended so let's not get caught up on if it's 3" or whatever.

Now i have a quote from the place that was going to put it on for me,, they suggest the billstein coilover, with the ebitech Springs. Which reads it comes set for 3" or lift,

They are telling me its a better ride. But I'm not sure anymore.

    Please help me decide.

thats gonna be over 3 inches with 887 and a spcer on 5100 and u will need UCAs. The 5100 is not meant for the OME coil so they assume it wont ride as well, Usually brand coils go with the same brand shock as thats how they were made. I have 5100 and ome 885x and they ride fine.

Dan at wheelers, said its 2.5" and u need a spacer to get the full 3".
I'm not trying to figure that part out.

Just wanted some help on why my shop is telling me one rides Bette than the other. And what to do

He also told me Dakars are only good for 1.75" inches.

If you want 3 inches, get 887s.

887s ride better and won't need a spacer to get to 3 inches.

    Get whatever shock you want.

I have 887's coming from Headstrong Off Road assembled with 5100's and it has no spacer and will be 3 inches. Some say add the 1/4 spacer for the Taco Lean some say don't

The Bilsteins and OME 887 coils (without spacers) are going to give you 3" and a smoother ride the 5100/Eibach setup. I assume you're referring to the Toytec 5100/Eibach kit that comes with the Eibach coils and 5100s set to .85 with a top plate spacer. If this is correct, the 5100/Eibach setup will be much stiffer than the 5100/887 setup because of the Eibach's increased spring rate and the additional preload.

Are you referring to these? I had them on my 2010 and the ride to me was not very good. Get 887's assembled from Headstrongoffroad.com with the 5100's like I just got for 456.00 complete and shipped.

Get the billies at 0 with OME 887s, softer springs than the eibachs. That's the exact setup I have, I love it. Headstrong off-road has the best price and they are a pleasure to do business with. I know you've said you don't care, but you don't need the top plate spacer for 3" with 887s, you do for 885s...

You will need a 1/4" or 3/8" lean spacer. I have the 1/4" on my 5100/884s and I still have a slight lean. Without it, the lean would be very noticeable.

Why wouldn't you need the spacer for 887s but do with 885s?

Neither compensate for additional driver side weight like the OEM coils do. You're the first person to say that, that I have seen, and it makes no sense at all.

I think he meant for 3" of lift, not a single side spacer for lean.

Maybe he can elaborate then, since that would be a sizable piece of misinformation.
