I have an XtraVision. It opens like any other door.

SnugTop kinda sucks as far as quality control and customer service goes, for that matter, so does ARE and Leer.

Does it have one of those things you turn clockwise to open? If so its not bad, it's like my LEER.

SnugTop HiLiner Sport for my 2015. Had an ARE MX on my 2007 and 2010 and quality is much better on the SnugTop.

There's a whole subforum for shells you should check out.

    Every manufacturer has issues.

Total Chaos UCAs, FN Five Star wheels 17x8.5 with -6 offset, BFG AT KO2 LT275/70R17, Icon 1.5-2 inch AAL, diff drop kit by Toytec, Columbia Overland dual battery setup, IBS battery regulating system with Blue Sea systems fuse block, Weathertech Mats, Skanda seat covers, SnugTop Rebel truck cap w/ Yakima gear racks
Had this SnugTop Rebel with roof rack and sportsman package installed about a month ago by SoCal Truck Accessories in Santee, CA. Once you start adding the add-ons the price gets way up there but happy with the purchase. I got sick of waiting around for a year on eBay and craigslist hoping a shell that matched my truck would show up so I just bought new and tricked it out.
